This was the year when some stainless steel vats were introduced at Haut Brion， the first in Bordeaux. In 2014， a devilishly deep， aromatic nose， with notes of gravel and lead pencil. Great cherry and bilberry flavours on the palate. This is a huge， chewy， almost edible wine， doing honour to this incredible vintage. Serena Sutcliffe， MW WA 100
