The group is comprised of three tea caddies of square section and moulded on each rectangular side with a stylised shou character on a trellis ground，the covers similarly decorated；a cylindrical brush pot decorated with flowerheads in a trellis pattern；and a water dropper shaped as a bunch of lychee growing from a stem. All five pieces are covered on the exterior with a bright yellow glaze.
