简介：Wu Guanzhong was born in Yixing County，Jiangsu Province in 1919.He graduated from the National Academy of Art in 1942，studied in the Ministry of Education in 1946，and went to the National High School of Fine Arts in Paris in 1947 to study the history of Western art with the Suzel School.Wu Guanzhong returned home in the autumn of 1950.He has successively taught at the Central Academy of Fine Arts，the Department of Architecture，Tsinghua University，the Beijing Academy of Art and the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts.He was a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University，an advisor to the Chinese Artists Association and a member of the CPPCC National Committee.He has published Wu Guanzhong’s Sketches，Colour Paintings，Wu Guanzhong’s Selected Chinese Paintings，East Search for West，Wu Guanzhong’s Selected Essays，etc.
