简介:This clay gold hand-written sutra is written in Tibetan in the Ming Dynasty. It is written on both sides and has a total of 18 pieces (each 22 cm high and 9 cm wide). There are also 16 pages of lining paper. Each piece of paper is stamped with the seal of the collector (the signer has not been verified yet). The lining paper has a history of at least 100 years.
This scripture is written in Tibetan regular script, neat and beautiful, similar to but better than block engraving. It should be copied by monks who are full-time block engravers of the Potala Palace Printing House with special writing tools. Judging from the paper, the craft is exquisite and the hand feeling is thick. This kind of craft is used in superior scriptures.
Tibetan clay and gold scripture writing is a precious object of worship in Tibetan monasteries. Tibetan clay gold scripture is commonly called ”gold and silver book” in the local area. the scripture paper is made by repeatedly rolling several pieces of handmade paper and donkey skin glue on a stone roller. it has the characteristics of good elasticity and folding resistance. the scripture is not bad. the black paint of the scripture paper, instead of ink, is black made by boiling donkey skin glue with more than ten kinds of Tibetan traditional Chinese medicines such as saffron, bear gall and elk incense. it has the characteristics of aroma, little insect damage and durability. the clay gold can be written by adding glue after being ground with pure gold.
Handwritten Tibetan scriptures are written by reincarnated living buddhas and famous temple masters. Mud gold or mud silver writing, the handwriting is eye-catching and precious, double-sided writing, this is a rare sutra classic handed down from ancient times. Therefore, especially hand-copied sutra, has the value of historical materials and cultural relics. Especially after long-term research, it has far-reaching influence on the development of Chinese and Tibetan culture.
