简介：The hollow bowl is a pair with a tiny mouth, an inclined arc abdomen, a circle of sole, and a bowl mouth shaped like a Chinese flowering crabapple. The design is simple and elegant, with purple and gold glaze applied all over the body, glazed jade-like embellishment, and hollow-out carving on the abdomen. The carver is exquisite and the knife method is skillful. Maotai glaze originated in the northern kiln mouth of the Northern Song Dynasty, such as Ding Kiln, Yaozhou Kiln and other kilns. Ding Kiln Maotai glaze is the most famous. Ming Cao Zhao’s ”Ge Gu Yao Lun” stated that ”there are purple, black, such as lacquer, and the soil is white, and its price is higher than that of white”. The so-called purple is not purple. Its glaze is brown red, which is actually similar to sesame paste today, hence its name.
